In their first NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament victory since 2007, Dan Hurley’s Huskies ended Purdue’s dream of winning its first national title since 1969, becoming the first team to win back-to-back titles since 2007. While Purdue’s star Zach Edey scored 37 points, his team effort was not enough to keep up with UConn’s team effort, led by Tristen Newton’s 20 points, in which all seven players scored.

Edey’s 37 points came from 25 shot attempts as UConn limited the Boilermakers to just seven shots behind the arc, only one of which was successful.
